On Sunday 13 October, Gilbert Ellacombe ran the Royal Parks Half Marathon for the 4TH TIME FOR The Fred Foundation. He did the run in 2 hours 18 minutes.
Gilbert, the husband of The Fred’s founder, Felicity Ellacombe, says that this will be the absolute last time, but I am not sure I believe him.
Like many runners, he does not have to run for charity, but he ALWAYS does it for The Fred – not just a PB!
Gilbert ran to raise money to help families with autistic children who have complex needs receive the specialist education and support they so desperately need.
Even more poignant in the light of the brave BBC documentary shown a couple of weeks ago. Spotlight – I Am Not OKAY. https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/m0023db6/spotlight-i-am-not-okay-spotlight
If you could sponsor Gilbert, on the link below, the families we support would really appreciate it. We are a very small charity, but we do our absolute best and every single penny goes straight to the families
Thank you.
